Listening to “Bang Bang Bang,” the new single from Selena Gomez and the Scene, it does sound like her new boyfriend Justin Bieber certainly is ALL that. The words that dismiss a former boyfriend in favor of one who has more swagger are played out over a retro synth track that is reminiscent of La Roux’s breakthrough smash “Bulletproof.” This sounds like one of the most accomplished singles yet by Selena Gomez and her band the Scene. It is a warm up to the album When the Sun Goes Down set to hit stores June 28, 2011. Consistent quality is a key to the success of Selena Gomez as a singer, and “Bang Bang Bang” looks like it could be her fifth consecutive top 40 pop hit.
